Shrink Hood

A Shrink hood is fed over the top of the pallet stack and heated, the heat shrinks the film and it forms a tight fit around the stack.

Shrink hoods are used for automated packaging products on pallets. It enables stability of pallets in storage and in transportation, protects products from dust, dirt, water, damage and weather conditions and has higher UV protection up to 12 months.

Shrink hood, with the use of heat (oven or flame), shrinks and forms to whatever structure and/or item is underneath it. The film shrinks in both directions depending on the goods to be packed. It is important to use the right structure of shrinkage.

Shrink hoods are available in a diversity of widths, lengths, thicknesses and colors to meet a wide variety of needs.

Special applications for shrink hood film are for example:

• For automated packaging of construction materials on pallets (bricks…)
• for automated packaging glass products on pallets
• for automated packaging of granulated material on pallets
